Throughout my journey as a psychiatrist, I have had the privilege of working with adults, adolescents, and children with acute and chronic illness having a variety of psychiatric diagnoses. Psychiatry requires the ability to recognize the connection between physical and psychological causes of distress. This is why I am committed to being an instrument for the improvement of mental health in the community. Trained under the principles of the biopsychosocial model of mental health, I believe that each patient must be approached as a whole person and not just as a series of symptoms. Due to the disproportionate supply and demand for psychiatric services, many individuals suffer without receiving proper mental health care.  I hope to improve access to psychiatric care and reach adults, adolescents, and children through tele-psychiatry.

I am certified by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology, having completed my adult psychiatry training in Camden, NJ. I had significant exposure in the management and treatment of addiction, mood, anxiety, psychotic, and personality disorders. I returned home to California to complete my fellowship in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry at the University of Southern California. I received training in the treatment of attention deficit hyperactivity, childhood mood-anxiety-and psychotic disorders, autistic spectrum disorders, and eating disorders. I place high value on compassion and patience when interacting with all my patients, and I understand the difficulty they may face when expressing sensitive information. My deep interest in and concern for patient mental, emotional, and physical health will hopefully allow me to provide you with individualized and personal care.
